How We Develop Floor Plans into Full Designs
We guide you with completely independent advice throughout the house design process (Specially UDA building regulations and NBRO guidelines) to help you create the home you want. Regardless of whether you’re adapting one of our classic Sri Lankan house plans to make it more contemporary, applying new technology or concept to one of our modern house designs, or want to create your own Grand Design from scratch, we can draw on more than 20 years of experience to help you find the total house design solution that works for you.
First, we start with concept plans ( Sketches - make a rough drawing of ). These concept plans often come from feedback we’ve had from customers about our designs since 2006. We’re not guessing what our clients want, we’re listening to our customers to build them the homes they dream about living in.
We will take that concept plan and form that into a floor plan which we will then test with furniture, doors and windows. We want to know that our homes will work with your furniture and not just look good on paper. You can have all the “right things” in a home but people know when a house seems right and that’s how we try to design our homes.
From there we will begin to develop the floor plan into the full designs (Front Elevations, Side Elevations, Sectional Elevations, Roof Designs, Site Plans etc...) These are the designs and plans you find in our website.
Multiple Facade Home Designs
One of the great features of our Kedella Homes designs is the façade options available. Most of our designs come with at least 2 different façade types including perforated bricks, rippled metal, ceramic tiles, glass walls, louvred shutters, precast concrete panels with various types of finishes, colours and patterns.
